Handpumps

It’s hard to believe that more often than not, the clean water a developing community desperately needs is right underneath them. And it’s amazing how a relatively small donation can make such a dramatic difference in so many lives.

Water is the key to all life. Yet across the globe, a staggering 785 million people on our planet lack access to safe, clean drinking water!

Without safe and clean water to drink, these people risk dehydration, disease and at worse: death. Life without clean water can seem unimaginable but for millions of people, it’s a daily reality.

Every person needs a sustainable supply of clean water: for drinking, washing, cooking and cleaning. It is a basic human right and there are still millions of people that do not have clean water.

In poor countries, women and children walk an average of 3 miles every day to collect water for their daily use. As a result, women are often unable to get jobs or contribute financially to their households. Children are often unable to go to school or get an education due to the thousands of hours they have to spend annually just carrying water.

Access to safe drinking water can transform lives. The gift of a tube well will ensure that a family have access to clean water for drinking, washing and cooking.

Our handpumps are designed to last at least 10 years and can be easily maintained by the beneficiary.

Water handpumps are Zakah eligible and a Sadaqah Jariya.

Give Sadaqah Jariyah on behalf of a loved one and gain countless rewards for yourself and your loved ones by helping needy communities for years to come.

Once your handpump is installed, you will receive a completion report of your hand pump with location and pictures. The whole process from start to finish can take up to 2 months. You can also choose a name (maximum 30 characters) for the plaque on the handpump.
