Food
An estimated 1 in 10 people do not have enough to eat worldwide.
The chances of being food insecure are higher for women than men in every continent.
Hunger in Africa and Asia
The situation is most alarming in Africa, as the region has the highest rates of hunger in the world and which are steadily rising. In Eastern Africa in particular, close to a third of the population is undernourished.
The largest numbers of undernourished people live in Asia. Together, Africa and Asia bear the greatest share of all forms of malnutrition, accounting for more than nine out of ten of all stunted children and over nine out of ten of all wasted children worldwide. In Asia and Africa, one child in three is stunted.

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:
“Whoever relieves a Muslim of some worldly distress, Allah will relieve him of some of the distress of the Day of Resurrection”
Family Food Parcels
Support the poor and needy by donating a food pack for their families. Thousands of families across the world struggle to provide sufficient nutritious food for their households. The food packs you provide give families a rare opportunity to receive essential nutritious meals, which they rely on for the strength they need to carry on building a normal life. In extreme cases, a fulfilling meal can be the difference between life and death.
A family food parcel will cost just £50 including transport to the village – this will feed the most vulnerable family for a month.
